I enjoyed the main quest and the three lantern hunt, but not even the path of observation let me escape the jarring gameplay switch, so I decided to call it a game with the standard ending.
Also the GUI navigation is a bit clunky. Not having a backscroll between clues, having to hit the inventory every time to light a candle rather than just having a hotkey for each item, or letting you shortcut by just X to interact once you have the useful item. And the clue to the green location should have probably been a collectable, so you wouldn’t have to memorize how it was done.
The cannon puzzle was excellent. I might have labelled each of the candles in the lighthouse puzzle with the symbol of their lighthouse to reduce backtracking later.
"The true adventurer keeps striking the tablet beyond until the final path opens" -- i.e, keep hitting it (it takes like 5 times iirc? you should hear a sound each time you hit it) Then good luck for the ultra-secret boss, it's quite hard but is doable :D
You can go further, but the secret hunt becomes very obscure from this point forward. If you choose to do so, make sure you look out for tiling errors.
There's a few of them. One's in the cat maze section, where you can cross to a bit of the maze that you wouldn't otherwise be able to reach. At the ends there gives you something. One's in the bullet hell, and is super subtle but grants you access to another room that gives you the second something. The other end of the cat maze holds a hint for getting the third something (which isn't through a tiling error.) The somethings are used in Wisdom path [3]. Good luck!

how do the squeares puzzle work?
nm, for those who had that problem, the way you enter the iland matters
Okay, I have a quick question, spoilers ahead.
How do you get through the "true meaning of friendship" sign? The only thing I found online says to use your axe on it, but that doesn't work for me.
There's a hint that says that:

I finished it, I hate you so much, this gave me worse trust issues that Return to Dreamland.

What about this one? Does this mean anything?
Nope, that's just a dev error.
